2017 KJCCC D1 Softball Players of the Week, Week 2

Alexis Andersen, Colby, has always been a good player but she had a breakout week exploding with her bat in this week's games.  Lexi led the Trojans in RBI's and Home runs to help the team accumulate 68 runs in 6 games for the week. A sophomore from the Salt Lake Utah area, Lexi also had a great defensive presence behind the plate and on the field at Shortstop. Her Batting average was .462 and on base was .517. 

Regan Mergele, sophomore, went 4-0 for No. 2 Butler as the Grizzlies stayed undefeated with a 7-0 road swing through Texas and Oklahoma. She threw 12.2 innings, allowing just four hits and two runs, neither of which were earned. She also struck out 30 batters and walked nine.
