Brittney Gonzalez had a great week on the field for the Dodge City Conquistadors, racking up a batting average of .583, going 7-for-12 at the plate, while also drawing two walks. Of her seven hits, three of those were for extra bases. On the base paths is where Gonzalez did a lot of her work, stealing seven bases in four games and scoring six runs for the Conqs. In game one against NOC-Enid, Gonzalez was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate and also stole two bases. In the Conqs home opener on Sunday, she went 3-for-4 at the plate and also scored three of Dodge City's 10 runs in their first win of the year. Again in game two, Gonzalez was 1-for-1 with a sac-fly and a walk. She also collected three stolen bases in the game. She also had a huge outfield assist, throwing a runner out at home to save a run.

Monique Ashley, Seward County, continued her great start to the season, picking up a 10-1 win over Lamar on Sunday.  She was only needed for 5.0 innings of work, but in those 5.0 innings, she allowed only 3 hits and one run, while striking out 8 batters. Ashley pitched two more complete games against Clarendon and Cowley, striking out a combined 11 batters in those two games.
