KJCCC Kansas MTXE D2 Softball Athletes of the Week, Week 5, 2018

Johnson County sophomore pitcher Halle Brin played a part in three wins and a narrow defeat last week. She logged 17 2/3 innings of work, with 12 strikeouts and six earned runs allowed. She was 2-1 overall. Her highlight of the week was one-hitter with seven strikeouts in a 9-1 win over Jefferson College in the first game at the Crowder Bash in Joplin, Mo. She began the week with a complete game victory over cross-town rival Kansas City Kansas.

Freshman Skyler Maga had a big week for the No. 9-ranked Cowley College softball team as she went 10-of-16 with two home runs, five extra base hits, and 10 runs batted in. She also walked six times, stole three bases and scored seven runs.
