KJCCC Kansas MTXE D2 Softball Athletes of the Week, Week 7, 2018

Allen Community College freshman Sam Greninger led the Red Devils offense in their home series against Coffeyville, Cowley, and Independence. In the sweep against Coffeyville, Greninger went 5-for-6 with three solo homers, one double and three RBIs leading the Red Devils to 13-5 and 13-4 victories. In the closing series sweep against Independence, Greninger went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer, a double and four RBIs helping lead the Red Devils to 11-1 and 9-1 victories. For the week, Greninger went 8-for-17 with four homeruns, two doubles, two singles, two walks, six runs scored, eight RBIs, a batting average of .471 and a slugging percentage of 1.294.

Johnson County freshman pitcher Kerrigan Dixon picked up two complete-game victories for the Lady Cavaliers last week. She allowed five hits, three runs, just one earned run, and struck out 10 batters in 14 innings.
