KJCCC Kansas MTXE D2 Softball Athletes of the Week, Week 10, 2018

Winter Henry was one of the top forces for the Allen Lady Red Devils this past week. In a doubleheader sweep of Kansas City, Henry went 4-for-9 with four runs scored, two runs batted in and two stolen bases. Against No. 17-ranked Hutchinson, Henry was 5-for-7 before helping the Red Devils sweep Hesston by going 6-for-8 with four homeruns, including a grand slam. Henry drove in nine runs in the two games against Hesston and finished the week 15-for-24 with four home runs, 11 RBIs, two stolen bases and a walk. She posted a batting average of .625 and a slugging percentage of 1.125.

Abby Walker went 2-1 for the Allen Lady Red Devils on the week. Walker threw all seven innings against Kansas City to get the win, allowing three runs while striking out three. Against No.17-ranked Hutchinson she went 8 1/3 innings in the loss. Walker bounced back against Hesston by going the distance in the 7-2 win. She allowed just three hits, while striking out five. Walker pitched 22 1/3 innings on the week and posted an ERA of 2.50.
