KJCCC Division I Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week - Week 4

Player of the Week - Hailey Pop, Barton Community College

Hailey Pop continued to be the solid contributor out of the three hole in the lineup leading Barton to a 3-1 week including a conference opening sweep of Hutchinson.  Batting .588 in the four games including an .882 slugging percentage, Pop was even better against the Blue Dragons at .778 with a pair of doubles and a day earlier in Oklahoma launched her first home run of the season leading to a road win in Tonkawa.

 

Pitcher of the Week - Mahealani Haegele, Colby Community College

Mahealani Haegele pitched 7 innings in her only game this week when Colby traveled to Las Vegas New Mexico to play Luna Community College. Mahea scattered 8 hits, striking out 3 and allowing 1 earned run for an ERA of 1.0 for the game.  Mahea dominated a very good hitting team who previously put 31 runs up against their last opponent Trinidad State Junior College.
