KJCCC Division I Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week - Week 7

Player of the Week - Alexis Perez, Dodge City

Lexy Perez hit .583 for the week with an OBP of .667, and a slugging percentage of 1.853. She hit three home runs and drove in nine runs, while scoring eight runs. She was key for Dodge City going 3-1 overall on the week including a very close loss and big win over conference leading (at the time) Barton.

Pitcher of the Week - Megan Johnson, Butler

Megan Johnson went 2-0 for Butler this past week as the Grizzlies. She was masterful against Hutchinson. After giving up a leadoff single, she was perfect over four innings of work, retiring the next 12 batters she faced, setting the pace for a shutout for the Grizzlies. The next day in Independence, she went five innings, allowing three runs – all of which were unearned. She allowed three hits and walk while striking out four batters.
