Freshman shortstop, Chevelle Sartin led the Scotties to a 5-1 week as she had a monstrous week batting .636 as she was 14-22 in six games with 17 RBI's, 11 runs scored, three doubles and six home runs. Sartin busted out the big time performances against Allen County as she was 3-3 with seven RBI's, two home runs, a double and three runs scored in game one against the Red Devils and then followed that by going 3-4 with five RBI's, two more home runs, another double and two runs scored.

On the season Sartin is batting. 506 and leads the team in hits with 42 and runs scored with 40, while she also leads the team in doubles and home runs with eight of each.

Sophomore Pitcher

Maize, KS

Johnson County sophomore pitcher Kerrigan Dixon hurled a 2-hit shutout with nine strikeouts in a 7-0 win over Neosho County. Her nine strikeouts are the second-best single game over her two seasons at JCCC. She currently ranks in the top-10 in the conference for wins and strikeouts, and leads the conference with a 1.45 ERA.
