KJCCC Division I Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week - Week 12

Player of the Week - Jade Phillips, Barton

Jade Phillips extended her hit streak to a school-record 17 straight games in putting a season finale week of batting .560 after moving up to the No. 2 slot of the lineup. Collecting multiple hits in five of the Cougars' seven games, Phillips also had four doubles and three stolen bases while playing a flawless center field position.

Pitcher of the Week - Megan Johnson, Butler

Megan Johnson won three games this week and then earned a three-inning save in the Region VI Championship game for Butler. She beat Barton twice – once on the final day of the regular season and then again in the regional semifinals. Then in the finals, she came on in relief and threw three scoreless innings against the Cougars. For the week, she threw 16 innings, allowing just three earned runs on 15 hits, while striking out 13 batters.
