Sophomore Ashton Friend had a near perfect week at the plate for the No. 5-ranked Cowley College softball team as she went 9-for-11 with a home run, five extra base hits, and four runs batted in. She also scored six runs and helped Cowley win three of four games.

The talented freshman struck out 14 batters without a walk while tossing six scoreless innings in a pair of Lady Tiger victories. Mercer tossed four no-hit innings in a 10-0 win over Connors State before tossing two scoreless innings of relief in a win over the Sterling College JV.
