KJCCC Softball Div I Player of the Week, Wk. 2

Butler Community College's Asia Henry and Barton Community College's Karsyn Smith, 2020 KJCCC Softball Division I Player and Pitcher of the Week, Wk. 2

Player of the Week:
Asia Henry, sophomore catcher/third baseman, had a great weekend at the plate for the Grizzlies. Henry was six for fourteen with four runs scored in her four games played. She hit three homeruns on the weekend while chalking up a team high seven RBI’s. She struck out once and didn’t have any walks. Henry leads the KJCCC in homeruns this season with three, all coming this past weekend in Oklahoma and Texas.

Pitcher of the Week:
Karsyn Smith recorded a career high seven strikeouts Saturday for her second victory of the year. Walking just one in her complete game, Smith settled down after the first inning to limit the Larks to just five more hits and one earned run the remaining six innings.
