2021 KJCCC Softball Division I Week 14 Players of the Week

Player: Madison Grimes (Hutchinson)
Madison Grimes, the leading hitter in the KJCCC and the second-leading hitter in the NJCAA, hit .750 for the week, going 9 for 12 in four games. Grimes added three doubles and a home run, which came in a 7-5 loss to No. 3 Butler. Against Pratt, Grimes was a combined 6 for 6 in a doubleheader sweep of the Beavers. In addition to her nine hits, Grimes scored nine runs, drove in four and stole two bases.

Pitcher: Kelcie Kippes (Butler)
Kelcie Kippes, sophomore pitcher from Rossville, KS, had a good week pitching for the No. 3-ranked Grizzlies. She picked up the win on the road at Pratt pitching 3.0 innings in Butler's 18-2 5-inning run rule win. She gave up no hits, no walks and struck out three. Kippes pitched two innings on Thursday in the Grizzlies 15-1 win over Independence. She gave up two hits, one run and struck out another three batters.
