Maci Cole continued her assault on opposing pitching by going 9-for-17 with four home runs, two doubles, eight runs batted in, and eight runs scored as Cowley went 3-1 on the week. Cole homered in four straight games and has helped the Lady Tigers win 29 of its past 31 games.

Johnson County sophomore right-handed pitcher Jordan Harrison posted a 3-1 record last week to run her record to 17-2 on the season. After a rough start in the first game against Cowley, Harrison returned in the second game to shut down the Tigers and secure a 4-2 victory. She allowed just one run and struck out five in 5 1/3 innings of relief. In the opener at Labette, Harrison earned a complete-game shutout holding the Cardinals to just two hits. In the second game, with JCCC trailing 4-3, Harrison pitched the final 2 1/3 innings allowing just one hit with two strikeouts to pick up the win. JCCC rallied for an 8-4 victory thanks to a three-run home run off her bat in the top of the seventh. She hit a solo homer earlier in the game and belted a pair of two-run home runs in the opening game.
