2023 KJCCC Softball Division I Week 13 Players of the Week

Player of the Week:  Aspen Goetz (Hutchinson)
Blue Dragon first baseman Aspen Goetz became the program's career and single-season home run leader and single-season RBI leader with other incredible week for No. 14 Hutchinson. In four games against Seward County and Pratt, Goetz was 9 for 14 (.643) with two doubles, six home runs and 20 RBIs. With a grand slam against Seward County in Game 2, the sophomore from Rose Hill broke the aforementioned school records. The nine RBIs in Game 2 is also second in Blue Dragon single-game history. For the season, Goetz is hitting .484 with 19 home runs and 90 RBIs, which is No. 4 in the NJCAA.

Pitcher of the Week:  Allyson Montgomery (Butler)
Allyson Montgomery, the Grizzlies sophomore pitcher from Goddard, Kansas had an amazing week of action in the circle for the Butler Softball team in their four run-rule conference victories. Montgomery made two starts for the Grizzlies both complete-game shut-outs for the Butler ace. Allyson pitched ten innings giving up only six hits walking five batters while striking out eighteen. Montgomery's best game was against Northwest Kansas Tech on Butler Softball sophomore day in which she walked no batters and struck out ten. Montgomery still leads the KJCCC in strikeouts with 211 this season. She is also tied for first in the KJCCC in wins this season with 21 and is second in ERA at 2.08 through 138 innings pitched.
