2024 KJCCC Softball Division I Week 1 Players of the Week

Player: Cady Dickey (Butler)
Dickey was a force in the Grizzly lineup in the opening four games of the season, helping them get out to a 4-0 start on the season. In four games and 14 at bats, Dickey hit .571 and slugged 1.143 as she posted eight hits, eight RBI, two home runs and two doubles. She drove in two runs in each of the four games. In the first game of the doubleheader with Otero, Dickey had three hits and two RBI. She was also the catcher for Butler pitcher Chloe Odle who punched out 14 as Dickey totaled 15 putouts behind the plate. Shehad 16 total bases in the four games in Colorado.

Pitcher: Chloe Odle (Butler)
Odle was impressive in her first two collegiate starts, picking up wins in both as Butler got out to a 4-0 record in their first competition this season in La Junta, Colo. In her first start she tossed 3.0 innings allowing no runs or hits, striking out five and walking two as Butler won 9-0 over NJC. In her second start, the Beloit native struck out 14, walking just two. She allowed one earned run on six hits as Butler claimed a 10-2 victory over Otero. Odle has 19 strikeouts to four walks this season as well as allowing just one earned run in 9.0 innings, good for a 0.78 ERA.
