2024 KJCCC Softball Division I Week 4 Players of the Week

Player of the Week: Jaeleigh Darnell (Hutchinson)
Hutchinson Community College sophomore Jaeleigh Darnell hit .545 with three home runs and 11 RBIs in a 3-1 week for the No. 17 Blue Dragons. Darnell slugged 1.545 and had an on-base percentage of .643 to pace the Blue Dragon offense. She went 6 for 11 with two doubles and three home runs. Against Colby, Darnell was 4 for 6 with a double, two homers and six RBIs.

Pitcher of the Week: Dakota Lake (Hutchinson)
Freshman pitcher Dakota Lake struck out 13 batters in six innings of work, picking up a victory in a 3-1 week for the No. 17-ranked Blue Dragons. Lake pitched the final 2 1/3 innings of Hutchinson's 16-6 run-rule victory over Colby last Thursday. She struck out four Colby batters in that performance. For the week, Lake appeared in all four Blue Dragon games. She allowed just three hits, two walks and an unearned run while fanning 13 in 6.0 innings.
