2016-17 KJCCC Women's Basketball Players of the Week, Week 14
Seward freshman Mollie Mounsey put together two more solid performances for the Lady Saints this week, pushing Seward County to 26-1 on the year as she averaged 24.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game for the gals in green. Wednesday on the road at Neosho she flirted with a triple-double, putting up 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists in a 29 point Seward win. Saturday she put up nearly identical numbers, scoring 25 points, pulling down 8 rebounds, and dishing out 6 assists in a tight win over Independence.
Sophomore forward Austin Richardson averaged 18.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in leading Johnson County to a win over No. 14 Labette and Brown Mackie last week. She at 22 points and 15 boards in an 87-69 home win over the 14th-ranked Labette Cardinals, and capped the week with a second double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds in a 74-43 road win over Brown Mackie.
