KJCCC Kansas MTXE Women's Basketball Athletes of the Week, Week 7, 2017

Four-straight double-doubles helped freshman forward Jada Mickens propel the Hutchinson Blue Dragon women to four wins, two over nationally ranked opponents, and help Hutchinson to an 11-game winning streak. Over four games, Mickens averaged 18.5 points and 12.5 rebounds. In Hutch's win at No. 18 Cowley, Mickens had 11 points and 11 boards. Her best effort was 23 points and 13 rebounds in a victory over Allen. Mickens now has nine double-doubles for the season. She is third in the Jayhawk Conference in scoring and leads the league in rebounding.

Johnson County CC freshman guard Paige Elston flirted with a triple-double while leading the Lady Cavaliers to a 76-63 home victory over State Fair on Jan. 6. Elston finished with 20 points, 10 assists and six rebounds. She shot 40 percent from the field and was a perfect 7-of-7 at the line.
