KJCCC Kansas MTXE Women's Basketball Athletes of the Week, Week 11, 2017-18

Taylor Regan had consecutive double-double games this past week as Barton split its pair of conference games.  The Albert, Kansas, freshman hauled down nineteen of her twenty-five boards on the defensive glass to solidify her top spot in the region at 7.6 defensive boards per game while moving into a first place tie in total rebounds at 9.7 rebounds per game.  Regan was also efficient in her shooting of 57% on 12-of-21 field goals and connected on 6-of-7 from the charity stripe for 85.7%.

Mariane Carvalho, Highland,  lead the Scotties in two Region 6 road wins over Hesston and Kansas City community College. Carvalho had 23 points and 8 rebounds in the 102-51 victory at Hesston, she also contributed 6 assists, 1 steal and 4 blocks. Against KCK she had another balanced game with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
