KJCCC Kansas MTXE Women's Basketball Athletes of the Week, Week 14, 2017-18

Mollie Mounsey, Seward County, was on an absolute tear this week, scoring 55 total points in just 38 minutes.  Her 8 three pointers were the second most in the school history, tying her 8 made from a season ago.  She has made 239 career three pointers, breaking the KJCCC record for most career three pointers.  Her seven three-pointers against Colby were part of the 25 team three's that the Lady Saints made, breaking the school record of 19 and the NJCAA record of 23.

Marianne Caravalho had a double double in leading the #3 ranked Highland Scotties to win number 30 over region 6 opponent Ft. Scott. The sophomore had 24 points and 10 rebounds to go along with a steal and a block. In the first game of the week Carvalho had 21 points on 6-10 shooting in a 93-56 win over kck. She also contributed 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and a block in that game.
