The No. 10 Highland women's basketball put themselves right square in the race for the KJCCC title with a 2-0 week beating Fort Scott on the road and avenging and earlier season loss by topping No. 4 Johnson County. Sophomore, Stefania Chiziane helped lead the charge as she had a career night against Fort Scott in a 86-62 win she posted a career in points, rebounds and steals finishing with 29 points, 11 rebounds and seven steals marking her first career double-double. She was 10 of18 from the floor and 8 of 9 from the free-throw line in the road win. The Scotties wrapped up week by getting payback on Johnson County with a 92-70 win. Chiziane dropped 21 points in the win on 8 of 9 shooting adding six rebounds, three assists and three steals. She helped Highland improve to 20-3 overall and 4-2 in Conference play. Chiziane is averaging 17.6 points per game on 57.8 percent shooting, while adding five rebounds, 2.4 assists and 3.2 steals per game.
