(KJCCC) Great Bend, KS – The 2024 NJCAA South Central District Wrestling Championships were held in Great Bend, KS, last weekend. Labette won the tournament with 159.5 points and the most pins, qualifying all 10 wrestlers for Nationals. Pratt finished with a team score of 155.5 in second, also qualifying all 10 wrestlers. Carl Albert State finished in third, followed by Northwest Tech and Cloud County to round out the top five.
Jeff Vesta (Labette) was awarded Coach of the Year; Chance Davis (165lbs) from Labette and Easton Taylor (141lbs) from Pratt were awarded Co-Wrestlers of the Year; and awarded Freshman of the Year was Northwest Tech wrestler Job Lee (157lbs).
