(KJCCC) December 12, 2023 – Labette wrestler, Davion King (157lbs) went 4-0 on the weekend, placing 1st in the Cougar Open. Davion is from Carthage, MO, and is currently the No. 7 ranked wrestler at his weight class.

In Champ. Round 1, King won over Luc Johnson (Pratt Community College) by Fall (1:34). In the Quarterfinal, King won over No. 3 ranked Channing Warner (Northeastern Junior College) by Fall (5:51). In the Semifinal, King won over Ethan Boles (Barton) by Tech Fall (17-2). In the first place match, King won over Nick Carlson (Pratt Community College) by Decision (10-3).
