2016 KJCCC Women's Soccer Players of the Week, Week 8

Begona Rodriguez-Bravo netted four goals in a game against Garden City that Dodge City had to win to keep their playoff hopes alive. After scoring two goals in the first half, Rodriguez-Bravo added a third just two minutes into the second half and scored her fourth after Garden City had cut the lead to 4-2. This season, Rodriguez-Bravo leads the team with nine goals, and will crack the top 10 for single-season goals at Dodge City with her next goal.

The statistics don't really show what impact the freshman net tender Alexandra Capalbo had in preserving Barton's victories this past week.  Turning back seven shots in Monday's critical game against Garden City, none came any larger than two leaping deflections in the closing minutes preserving a hard fought 3-2 win.  Following with a two save effort on Thursday, Capalbo's pair of net savers were clutch rejections keeping the Larks from assuming any momentum helping Barton to the big win.
