KJCCC Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week, Wk. 1

In just her second collegiate game, freshman Natalia Lima registered a hat trick in a 7-0 win over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. Lima scored all three goals in the first 20 minutes of Saturday’s contest.

Freshman Chiara Soergel had a sparkling debut in goal for the Hutchinson Community College women’s soccer team last Thursday. She had eight saves in a 4-0 victory over Trinidad State. Soergel went 1-1 for the week after Hutch dropped a 1-0 defensive struggle with Indian Hills. Soergel made three saves in that game. For the week, Soergel had a .917 save percentage with 11 saves on 12 shots faced.
