A hat-trick and a familiar face in goal leads a victory over a nationally ranked opponent highlight this week's KJCCC performances.

Johnson County sophomore midfielder Kayla Ambrose scored four of JCCC five goals over three matches last week. She tallied both scores in a 3-2 loss to Kansas City Kansas. She had the second goal in a 2-0 win over Coffeyville, and netted the game-tying goal in a 1-1 double overtime tie against Southwestern Illinois. For the season, Ambrose leads the team in goals scored with eight and points with 17.

Chiara Soergel posted her fifth- and sixth-consecutive shutouts last week in a 2-0 week for the Blue Dragons. Soergel had one save each in a 3-0 victory at Dodge city and a 5-0 win over Pratt at home. Soergel is now 7-1 this season with six shutouts. Her 0.12 goals-against and .944 save percentage both lead the KJCCC.
