2023 KJCCC Women's Soccer Division I Athletes of the Week, Wk. 4

Player: Adriana Delgado (Hutchinson)

Hutchinson Community College sophomore Adriana Delgado had another impressive week as No. 16 Hutchinson went 1-0-1 last week to remain unbeaten. For the week, Delgado scored three goals and is now tied for the national lead with 11. Her biggest goal of the season came in the 86th minute of a home battle with No. 9 Butler on Wednesday. Trailing 1-0, Delgado lofted a shot from 25 yards out the sneaked under the crossbar for a game-tying goal and a 2-2 tie with the Grizzlies. Delgado scored a pair of goals in the Blue Dragons 4-1 road victory over Coffeyville.

Goalkeeper: Karsyn Slothower

Hutchinson freshman Karsyn Slothower earned a win and key tie for the No. 16 Blue Dragons last week. Slothower had seven saves and allowed one goal in a pivotal 1-1 draw with No. 9 Butler on Saturday. She had six saves and allowed one goal in a 4-1 win on Saturday at Coffeyville. Slowhower is now 6-0-2 with five shutouts, a 0.38 goals-against average and a save percentage of .917
