2023 KJCCC Women's Soccer Division I Athletes of the Week, Wk. 5

Player: Jayda Wyatt (Hutchinson)

Hutchinson Community College sophomore midfielder Jayda Wyatt figured into all the scoring in a 1-0-1 week against a pair of nationally ranked opponents for the No. 11 Blue Dragons. Wyatt had an assist on the Blue Dragons' go-ahead goal with 5:02 to play in the second half in a 1-0 victory over No. 8 Barton at the Salthawk Sports Complex. Wyatt then scored on a free kick from 35 yards out in a 1-1 road draw at No. 18 Kansas City. That was Wyatt's second long-range goal of 35 or more yards this season.

Goalkeeper: Karsyn Slothower (Hutchinson)

Hutchinson freshman Karsyn Slothower had another exceptional week for the No. 11 Blue Dragons in a 1-0-1 week against a pair of nationally ranked opponents. For the week, Slothower made saves on 20 of 21 shot attempts. Slothower. Against No. 8 Barton, Slothower had a career-best 14 shots and earned her sixth shutout of the season in a 1-0 Blue Dragon victory at the Salthawk Sports Complex. The Blue Dragons battled to a 1-1 draw on Saturday at no. 19 KCK.
