KJCCC Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week - Indoor Week 5

Indoor track and field season is underway and week five of KJCCC Athletes of the Week have been awarded. 

WOMEN'S TRACK Athlete of the Week
Vimbayi Maisvorewa (Cloud County) – She competed at the UNL Frank Sevigne Invitational finishing second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.61 and placed fourth in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:35. Helped 4x400m with a 54.42 split (fastest of the meet). She currently ranks #3 400m, #5 600m, and #3 4x400m in the NJCAA.

WOMEN'S FIELD Athlete of the Week
Beatriz Ferriera (Garden City) – She placed fourth at the Washburn Open in the shot put with a personal best mark of 13.63m (44'8.75"). She was the top Juco athlete in the field and her mark moved her to 4th in NJCAA.
