KJCCC Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week – Outdoor Week 4

Outdoor track and field season continues and the week four of KJCCC Athletes of the Week honors have been awarded.
WOMEN'S TRACK Athlete of the Week
Lucy Ndungu (Cloud County) – She ran a time of 17:27 in the 5,000-meters at the KT Woodman Classic at Wichita State to win the event. Ndungu currently ranks #1 in the NJCAA in the event and broke the school record with her performance.
WOMEN'S FIELD Athlete of the Week
Ana Couto (Barton) – Couto posted the #1 total of points in the Heptathlon at the Jo Meaker Classic at West Texas A&M amassing 5,117 points to finish second place at the meet. Her performance also is the fourth best all-time in the history of the NJCAA.
