KJCCC Division II Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week

Emma Cohalla helped No. 3-ranked highland defeat top-ranked Coffeyville by posting a team-high 13 kills in the match. While she followed that up with 13 kills in a tough five set loss to KCK in the Region VI District N Tournament Semifinals, Cohalla finished the season and her Highland volleyball career with her name in the record books multiple times as she is the all-time leader in career blocks (191), ranks third in career kills (717) and single season kills (472). She helped the team finish with top-five season marks in school history in kills, assists and digs, while leading the team to a 34-3 record and a school record 24-match win streak during the season. 

KJCCC Division II Volleyball Setter of the Week

Katie Pearson helped lead the Highland offense to the big win over top-ranked Coffeyville by posting her 20th double-double of the season as she finished with 29 assists and 17 digs. She followed that up with 49 assists in the tough loss to KCK in the Region VI District N Tournament. Pearson wrapped up the season and her Scottie career ranking number one in career assists (2,798) in school history, while also this season finishing second in single season assists (1,365) only behind her freshman season performance and also finishes third all-time in digs (735).

Myla Turner continued her spectacular back row play at the libero spot as she posted 15 digs and an ace in Highland’s win over top-ranked Coffeyville and followed that up with a career-high 30 digs in a tough five set loss to KCK in the Region VI District N Tournament. She also registered an assist in each match. Turner capped her freshman season with Highland by finishing second in single season digs in school history with 615 on the year.
