KJCCC Division II Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week

With double digit kills in five of six matches last week, sophomore middle hitter Emma Cohalla has established herself as one of the top middles in the conference. So far this season Cohalla has racked up double digit kills in 20 matches. She even broke her record for highest single match kills with 24 against No. 18-ranked DMACC. The record breaking didn’t stop there as Cohalla then had a career high seven blocks in a three set sweep of Waubonsee, as she broke the school record for most career blocks at 182, and then finished out the week by surpassing 300 kills this season, giving her 621 in her career at Highland. 

KJCCC Division II Volleyball Setter of the Week

The freshman from Blue Springs, MO, had a huge week for the No. 7-ranked Lady Tigers as she averaged 10.83 assists per set while helping Cowley to a 5-0 week. Foster had a career high 60 assists in a win over No. 18-ranked Northeast Community College and had two double-doubles in the five wins.

Abbie Casper started in Fort Scott’s libero position for the first time this week and put up impressive numbers against three nationally ranked teams. She averaged an eye-popping 8.05 digs per set. Casper is a leader on and off the court. Her solid play helped Fort Scott go 3-2 on the week.
