COLBY, HUTCH PLAYERS EARN WEEK 2 HONORS

Week 2 Division I Volleyball Players of the Week:
Player - Claire, Chouloux, Colby
Defensive: Alissa Bautusta, Hutchinson
Setter: Kyndal Bacon, Colby

Players from Colby and Hutchinson collected Week 2 KJCCC Division I Volleyball Player, Setter and Defensive Player of the Week honors. Colby's Claire Choloux and setter Kyndal Bacon won Player and Setter of the Week honors. Hutchinson libero Alissa Bautista was the Defensive Player of the Week in the league.

PLAYER - Claire Chouloux, Colby
Claire Chouloux, a freshman outside hitter from France, helped Colby win its conference home opener with her first double-double of the season, going for 13 kills and 12 digs. She also tallied one solo block and one block assist to help the Trojans win in three sets over Butler.

SETTER: Kyndal Bacon, Colby
Kyndal Bacon, freshman setter from Newton, KS, led Colby to its first conference win against Butler, averaging 10.6 assists per set and tallying six kills on only eight attempts. She also had 10 digs for a double-double.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER: Alissa Bautista, Hutchinson
Freshman libero Alissa Bautista continued her strong play in the back row in a 3-0 Hutchinson sweep of Dodge City on Friday at the Sports Arena. Bautusta tallied 15 digs in the three-set match, which was Hutch's only action of the week.
