SEWARD/HUTCH PLAYERS EARN WEEK 5 HONORS

Week 5 KJCCC Division I Volleyball Players of the Week:
Player - Yanlis Feliz, Seward County
Setter - Laura De Pra, Seward County
Defensive - Alissa Bautista, Hutchinson

Seward County outside hitter Yanlis Feliz won her third KJCCC Offensive Player of the Week honor this season, while Saints' teammate Laura De Pra and Hutchinson libero Alissa Bautista each on their second weekly honors as the Setter and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.

PLAYER - Yanlis Feliz, Seward County
Yanlis Feliz led No. 4 Seward County to a pair of victories over Dodge City and Barton last week, averaging 3.8 kills and hitting .638. She also had 18 digs. Her biggest single match was 14 kills on .440 hitting with six blocks and nine digs in a 3-0 victory over Barton. This is Feliz's third weekly conference honor this season.

SETTER - Laura De Pra, Seward County
Two-time KJCCC winner Laura De Pra averaged 12.5 asssits per set in a pair of Jayhawk West sweeps over Dodge City and Barton. The sophomore setter had 41 assits with two digs and two blocks against Dodge City and followed that with 34 assists and three digs against Barton.

DEFENSIVE - Alissa Bautista, Hutchinson
Freshman libero Alissa Bautista had an exception week for the Blue Dragons in six matches played. She averaged 5.58 digs per set with 134 total digs in 24 sets played. She had 5 of 6 matches of 20 or more digs. Bautista had a career-high 29 digs in a five-set loss to Barton. She then had 28 digs in a five-set victory over No. 10 Indian Hills at the Sports Arena. Bautista is currently eight in the KJCCC in digs per set at 4.62
