BUTLER, BARTON PLAYERS HONORS IN D-I VOLLEYBALL

This week's KJCCC Division I Volleyball Players of the Week are: 
Player - Amalie Rupertiva, Butler
Setter - Agnieska Peskevic, Barton
Defensive - Karina de Oliveria, Barton

Butler outside hitter Amalie Rupertova had a big week and was recognized as the KJCCC Division I Volleyball Player of the Wee. Barton's Anieska Peskevic and libero Karina de Oliveria were named the league's Setter and Defenisve Player of the Week.

PLAYER: Amalie Rupertova, Butler
Butler outside hitter Amalie Rupertova hit .315 for the week and averaged 3.25 kills per set in a 3-2 week for the Grizzlies. She had two double-doubles last week, going for 15 kills and 20 digs in a four-set win over Northeast Community College and then had 11 kills and 15 digs against Central Community College. Rupertova recorded at least one service ace in each of her five matches played.

SETTER: Agnieska Peskevic, Barton
Agnieska Paskevic keyed the Barton 5-1 offense with 183 assists in sixteen sets, averaging 11.43 for the week, helping Barton to a pair of conference wins on the 3-2 week. Recording three double-doubles in the five matches, the versatile Paskevic also recorded eleven kills and nine blocks, to go along with, 120 digs and five service aces.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER: Karina de Oliveira, Barton
Karina de Oliveira captained the Barton backline with 95 digs on the 3-2 week in averaging 5.94 per set. She had matches or 20 or more digs against Garden City (21), Labette (23) and No. 14 Cloud County (27).
