SEWARD, COLBY PLAYERS ARE WEEK 9 HONOREES

Four of the top players in the Jayhawk WEst were honored in Week 9 as Players of the Week. Seward County's Yanlis Feliz was the Player of the Week. Colby's Elaine Thibadeau was the Defensive Player of the Week. Seward County's and Colby's setters, Laura de Pra and Kyndal Bacon were co-Setters of the week.

PLAYER - YANLIS FELIZ, Seward County
Yanlis Feliz lead the Lady Saints to two wins against conference opponents and had a team-high of 32 kills during the week. Feliz also had the team's highest hitting average of .549. The Lady Saints are now 22-2 on the season and 13-0 in conference play.

CO-SETTER - Kyndal Bacon, Colby
Sophomore Kyndal Bacon continued to direct the Trojans offense, leading Colby through a tough five-set road win against Hutchinson. She notched 55 assists and her 16th double-double this year with 14 digs. She had five blocks, four kills and one service ace in the five-set match.

CO-SETTER - Laura De Pra, Seward County
Laura De Pra helped the Lady Saints to twp victories in conference play and had a total of 75 assists in two matches. De Pra also had a perfect hitting percentage, going 3 for 3, to go along with her four blocks and four digs.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER - Elaine Thibadeau, Colby
Colby's Elaine Thibadeau had another strong defensive match against Hutchinson, tallying 42 digs and averaging 8.4 digs per set in Colby's only match of the week.
