2021 KJCCC Volleyball Division I Athletes of the Week, Wk. 10

Offense: Ivy Fink (Butler)
Ivy Fink, freshman outside hitter from Hoyt, KS, helped the No. 4-ranked Grizzlies to the programs first ever KJCCC Championship. Butler was 3-0 on the week with the help of Fink’s strong offensive performance. Fink finished the week with 35 kills posting double digit kills in each of the three matches. She hit an average of .281 on the week which is above her season average. Fink also had five blocks and 20 digs on the week while also serving an ace per set played finishing the week with seven service aces.

Setter: Rainey Aven (Butler)
Rainey Aven, freshman setter from Hereford, TX, set up the Grizzlies offense all week long with her spectacular play from her setter position in their 6-2 rotation. Aven was spot on all week finishing the week with 54 set assists, an average of 5.4 per set. She posted 10 kills on the week hitting .481 while also recording two blocks and five digs with three service aces. Aven  hit above her season average (4.93) in assists per set with a strong week helping Butler to their first ever KJCCC title.

Defense: Caitlyn Rexroat (Butler)
Caitlyn Rexroat, sophomore libero from Lansing, KS, was a defense machine this past week in the Grizzlies three wins. Rexroat dug up 58 balls on the week in her 10 sets played for an average of 5.8 digs per set, just above her season average of 5.48 per set. Rexroat has been the backbone of the No. 4-ranked Grizzlies defense all season long and leads the conference in digs this season with 577 this season. Rexroat also served four aces this past week giving her 40 total on the season.
