2023 KJCCC Volleyball Division I Athletes of the Week - Week 5

Offensive Player: Sydney Lentz (Butler)
Lentz helped the Grizzlies go 2-0 on the week with big wins over KJCCC foes. In a thrilling five set affair vs. Hutchinson at the Blue Dragon's court, Lentz posted 15 kills on .303 hitting to go with four blocks. She was a key part of the offensive attack that kept Hutch off balance defensively. In the sweep of Garden City Lentz added eight kills on .421 hitting and another four blocks.

Setter: Anja Milosevic (Butler)

Milosevic, a true freshman, posted two double doubles last week as Butler went 2-0, taking down first place Hutchinson in five sets before sweeping Garden City at home. In the match at Hutchinson, Milosevic tallied 41 assists and 19 digs to go with three service aces. In the sweep over Garden City she added 33 assists and 10 digs. She averaged 11 assists per set. Milosevic was a key cog in the Grizzly attack as they went 2-0 in KJCCC matches.

Defensive Player: Leisey Keli'i (Dodge City)
Dodge City volleyball picked up the programs first win over Seward County last week since 2011 snapping a 27-match losing streak to the Saints. Leisey Keli'i helped the Conquistadors to the big win over Seward County recording 23 digs in the win and then added 23 digs against Cloud County later in the week. She also recorded four assists between the two matches. On the season Keli'i has 334 digs along with a team-high 30 aces.
