2023 KJCCC Volleyball Division I Athletes of the Week - Week 6

Offensive Player: Phoebe Reyes (Barton)
Freshman outside hitter Phoebe Reyes led the Cougars to a pair of conference sweeps to stay atop the near mid-way point of the Jayhawk race.  Hitting .333 on the week, Reyes averaged 4.17 kills per set with just six errors in 57 swings.  Helping Barton to its fourth straight sweep of a conference opponent, Reyes reached double figure kills in both matches in recording her 8th and 9th double-digit kill total in three-set matches.

Setter: Anja Milosevic (Butler)

Milosevic helped Butler to a 2-2 weekend at the Blue Dragon Classic, facilitating the Grizzly attack throughout the entire weekend while also digging up opposing attacks. She posted a double-double vs. 17th ranked Indian Hills with 34 assists and 14 digs. She posted a weekend-high 35 assists and seven digs in a 3-0n sweep of Spartanburg Methodist. All in all, Milosevic had 29+ assists in each match.

Defensive Player: Brett Doile (Cloud County)
Brette is a setter who is playing as the libero for the past few games due to a medical restriction to our primary libero. Doile has been doing an excellent job passing, she averaged a 2.3 passing (the highest percentage on the team). When it comes to serve, Doile also appears at the top. The highest service percentage on the team was a 2.3, and Brette came in second with a 2.2 serve %. Doile had a total of 102 digs in 5 matches and lead the category every game. Brette is not only doing a great job as the libero, but also as a team leader. She is doing an excellent job covering all hitters and helping them to avoid the block while hitting.
