Blue Devils Season Comes to an End with a Loss to Fort Scott in Semifinal, 93-72

The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team (22-10) fell to Fort Scott Community College (22-11), 93-72 Mar. 8 in the semifinal round of the KJCCC Tournament at Johnson County Community College. The Blue Devils accomplished so much this season with 12 conference wins, more than 20 wins in the season, five KJCCC Player of the Week winners and regular season conference champions.

Camron Williford demonstrated his scoring ability, tallying 10 points while also making significant contributions on defense with three steals. Caleb Jones proved to be a force in the paint, notching 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds, showcasing his versatility with five assists and a team-high four steals. O'shawn Jones-Winslow made his presence felt on the boards, pulling down eight rebounds, while also making an impact defensively with two blocks and one steal. Jaylon Moses provided valuable scoring support with 11 points, displaying accuracy from beyond the arc with a 1-3 showing from 3-point range. Reginald Morris led the team in scoring with 17 points, showcasing his proficiency from long range with four three-pointers. Off the bench, Pierce Ross provided a spark with nine points, including a 3-pointer, while Mikequese Taylor added 10 points and displayed his defensive prowess with three steals. Mason Jones and Malik Jenkins also made valuable contributions, providing depth to the team's lineup.

For the game, the Blue Devils shot 40 percent from the field (26-65), 25 percent from three-point range (7-28) and 56.5 percent from the free-throw line (13-23). Fort Scott shot 58.3 percent from the field (35-60), 50 percent from three-point range (8-16) and 78.9 percent from the free-throw line (15-19).
