NPCC Men's Basketball fought in loss to Garden City CC
The North Platte Community College Knights Men's Basketball Team is now 2-4 on overall season record after a hard-fought loss, 87-96, against Garden City CC in Garden City, Kan.
NPCC's Luke Christen had seven rebounds, Courtney Murrell scored 20 points and Tim Johnson scored 18 points.
"Our guys fought hard but fighting hard sometimes isn't enough. We had too many mental mistakes down the stretch, which gets you beat. It's hard on a night where our offense was clicking a little better, but our defense just wasn't there, especially when we needed it. Everyone, including myself, needs to take a good, hard look in the mirror," said NPCC assistant coach Chase Grabau.
The Knights will host Western Wyoming College on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 3 p.m. in the McDonald-Belton Gymnasium.
