
The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's basketball team fell to the Metropolitan Community College Penn Valley Wolves, 79-77 Dec.10 at MCC-Penn Valley in Kansas City, Mo. The Blue Devils were up three points with just 15 seconds left in regulation with Pierce Ross standing at the free throw line shooting a one and one. Ross was unable to connect, and the Wolves brought down the rebound, hitting a three pointer to force the game into overtime.
BJ Stewart continues to dominate for the Blue Devils as he finished the game with 20 points and 11 rebounds. That is his third double double of the year. Camron Williford went back-to-back games scoring in double figures as he had 12 points, three rebounds and a team-high three assists. Israel Randle went 3-6 from the floor and finished with eight points and two rebounds. Ross came off the bench and scored 10 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Darren McHenry also came off the bench and was impressive scoring eight points, six rebounds and an assist.
For the game, the Blue Devils shot 29-78 from the field (37.2%), 5-23from three-point range (21.7%) and 14-17 from the free-throw line (82.4%). The Wolves shot 31-67 from the field (46.3%), 8-18 from three-point range (44.4%) and 9-11 from the free-throw line (81.8%).
