Grizzlies win 2nd straight conference game on the road as they take down Seward in Liberal

LIBERAL, Kan. – The 16th ranked Butler Grizzly soccer team took down Seward 4-0 at Redskin Field on Friday afternoon behind two goals from freshman Ruby Kilden.
The Grizzlies (3-2-4, 2-2-3 KJCCC) picked up their second consecutive KJCCC victory with the win over the Saints (0-5-1, 0-5-1 KJCCC) who are still searching for their first ever win in their inaugural season.
Kilden (Harwich, England) scored her first goal of the afternoon in the first half off a deep shot that went over the Saints goalie's head. Butler went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
The second half saw the Grizzlies pile it on with three goals. Kilden scored her second with 40:56 remaining as she headed in a corner kick from sophomore Emma Kolbe (Mulvane).
Freshman Rose Loyle (Andover) punched in her second goal of the season, making it 3-0 with 24 minutes remaining off the assist from Logan Riley (Derby).
The four goals tied a season-high for Butler with the other four goal game being the 4-0 win over then No. 5 ranked Monroe CC.
Three Grizzlies sit atop the team leaderboard with each having three goals in Sakiko Manabe, Saki Matsumoto and Kilden.
Butler caps off its three-game road stretch on Wednesday in Dodge City at Memorial Stadium with a 5 p.m. start vs. the Conquistadors.
