Match 1 vs. Barton (Kan.) Community College
The Cougars defeated the Raiders 3-1 in opening round action. Barton scored the first victory, 25-23, to which Central answered back, 25-21. The Cougars triumphed in the next two games to take the match, 25-15 and 25-14.
Ashley Brown logged 10 kills and 17 kills to lead the Raiders while Kamryn Chohon tallied 30 assists.
Match 2 vs. North Iowa Area Community College
The Raiders evened their tournament record at 1-1 with a 3-1 victory over the Trojans in the second match. CCC took the opening game, 25-18, before NIACC tied the match with a 25-19 win in the second set. The Raiders won back-to-back games to win the match by the final scores of 25-12 and 25-15.
Kennedi Branigan topped the Raiders in kills with 14 while Chohon finished with 40 assists. Jill Kelly led CCC in digs with 15.
Match 3 vs. Kirkwood (Iowa) Community College
The Eagles shut out the Raiders, 3-0, in Saturday's opening match. The final scores read 25-13, 25-6 and 25-13.
Brown and Morgan Juranek each totaled five kills to lead CCC while Chohon recorded a dozen assists. Josie Richards topped the Raiders in digs with 11.
Match 4 vs. Allen County (Kan.) Community College
The Raiders and Red Devils went five games before Allen County took a 3-2 victory. The teams swapped wins in the first two matches with the Red Devils taking the first set, 25-23, followed by the Raiders posting a 25-15 win in the second set. Central moved ahead 2-1 with a 25-23 victory in the third game before Allen County forced a fifth game with a 25-14 triumph in set four. The Red Devils took the match with a 15-9 win in the decisive game.
Brown led the way in kills with 19 while Chelsea Fisher made a dozen and Branigan made 10. Chohon tallied 47 assists and 30 digs.
