
The Kansas City Kansas Community College women's basketball team took down the Metropolitan Community College Wolves, 79-48 Nov. 27 at MCC-Penn Valley in Kansas City, Mo. Samaire Slusarek had a season-high 26 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 11-17 from the floor.
Bennett Peck splashed five three pointers, three of them coming in the second quarter. She would finish the game with 19 points and three rebounds. Zoe Clark managed to get a double double with her 13 points and 10 rebounds. She started off the game hot while scoring 10 points in the first quarter while shooting 3-4 from the field and 4-4 from the free-throw line. Emma Berenguer Fernandez was one rebound shy of a double double as she finished with 15 points and nine rebounds.
For the game, the Lady Blue Devils shot 30-72 from the field (41.7%), 8-26 from three-point range (30.8%) and 11-17 from the free-throw line (64.7%). The Wolves shot 14-65 from the field (21.5%), 6-24 from three-point range (25%) and 14-21 from the free-throw line (66.7%).
