KCKCC knocked off Allen County on Saturday with a 59-58 win.  This win put the Blue Devils at 21-8 on the season and with 7 straight wins going into the final game of the regular season.

Defense continues to be the ongoing theme when you ask Coach Newton about his team's last seven wins.  Coming into Saturday's contest the Red Devils of Allen County were averaging 81 points per game, however tough defense by the blue devils kept them 23 points below their average.  "We really guarded and made their two player work for every shot and we were active on the offense and defensive boards," said Newton.

The Blue Devils were led in scoring by Joe Lendway who had 16 points and 8 rebounds.  CJ Vallejo had 13 points and 7 rebounds while Babajide Aina added 10 points and 8 boards also.  "This was one of our key victories this season.  You could just see that everyone wanted to win this game for the sophomores," said Coach Newton.

The Blue Devils are back in action at home on Wednesday, February 15th at 7:00 against conference and region opponent Johnson County.
