
Northeastern Walks Away 3-1 On the Weekend In Lamar After Taking Down Fort Hays Northwest Tech 10-2
Northeastern Softball walks away with a winning weekend after they took down Fort Hays Northwest Tech 10-2 on Saturday. Mackenzie Bowie was named the DDC Player of the Contest. Bowie went 5 innings giving up two runs (one earned) on 8 hits, striking out one and walking one.
Tataian Hunt drove in four runs on two hits to help Northeastern win the contest. Hunt doubled in the first inning, scoring two runs and singled in the fifth inning scoring two. Northeastern won in part to six runs in the first inning. Hunt doubled, Addison Steele singled, scoring one run, Kelsi Jurczewsky singled, scoring one run, and Ryann Eurich scored after tagging up.
Jurczewsky, Hunt, and Steele each collected two hits for the Plainswomen. Mikeayla Llamas and Blayke Duncan each stole multiple bases in the contest. Northeastern was able to steal a total of 5 bases on the day.
