The six Westerners were announced individually and gifted a framed poster of their jerseys and placard. In their final regular season home game of the 2024 season, men's soccer took a photo with their sophomores and took the pitch minutes after the recognition.

As for the matchup, the Westerners strapped on their cleats for the final regular season game of the season against the Conquistadors. Dodge City jumped out ahead early and quickly with a goal at the sixth minute, 0-1. The Westerners continued to play from behind as Dodge City scored again at the 22nd minute mark, 0-2. The Conquistadors finished their scoring at the 29th minute with a third and final goal, 0-3.

Western Texas came out of halftime with an aggressive approach that paid off. The team scored their first and only goal of the Saturday. With an assist from Hector Montoya, Myles Taylor found the back of the net to score for the Westerners, 1-3. The score would stay the same for the remainder of the match as the home team dropped their final regular season game.
