Red Raven Women's Basketball Fall in the Region 6 Championship Game 55-35 to Dodge City

Hays, Kan. - After a thrilling defeat of #9 Hutchinson in the Region 6 Semifinal Round, the #20 NJCAA-ranked Coffeyville Community College Women's Basketball team fell to the #7 ranked Dodge City Conquistadors 55-35 in the Region 6 Championship game.  The Red Ravens were not able to secure an At-Large bid to the 2025 NJCAA Division I Women's Championship ending Coffeyville's 2025 season with an overall record of 26-6.

Coffeyville seemed overmatched from the start in the Championship game as Dodge City jumped out quickly ripping off a 14-2 run to start the first quarter.  The Red Ravens found themselves down 18-5 at the end of the first quarter and 31-12 at halftime.  Coffeyville and Dodge City played pretty much even in the second half, but the first-half deficit was too much for the Red Ravens and Dodge City earned the 55-35 victory over Coffeyville in the Championship game.

A big factor in the game was Coffeyville's shooting from behind the 3-point arc as the Red Ravens were 3-20 (15%) for the game compared to Dodge City's 9-31 (29%).  Coffeyville also turned the ball over 22 times to Dodge City's 13.

Game leaders for Coffeyville included freshman guard Karliey Parker with 8 points and 8 rebounds and freshman guard Karys Washington with 7 points and 7 rebounds.

Coffeyville ends their season after being ranked in the NJCAA Top 25 rankings for a total of seven weeks with a high ranking of #16.
