Cowboys Lead from Start to Finish at Neosho County

Chanute, Kansas- Connors State used a dominating first half and a strong second half to beat Neosho, Kan., 84-60 on Saturday inside Panther Gymnasium.

The Cowboys held a 45-29 halftime lead and never looked back in the second half. 

The Cowboys (11-2) caught fire after the break. Bradyn Hubbard scored 14 of his 25 points in the second half. Buddy Hammer Jr had 11 of his 22 points after the break. Ty Frierson had 12 points. Antonio Green had 10 points as the cowboys put coach Bill Muse one win away from 750 for his career.

The Cowboys shot 50 percent on the afternoon, compared to Neosho shooting 44 percent for the game. 

Connors return to the friendly combines of Melvin Self Field-House on Tuesday Night to take on Shorter College in the Final Non-Conference Match-up before Conference play begins on January 8th in Altus, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00p.m. on Tuesday Night.
